Role Intro: At Siemens, sustainability is at the heart of what we do. Since
many years, Supply Chain Management has significantly contributed to Siemens’
sustainability strategy and ambitions. SCM plays an essential role when it
comes to securing our global supply chain for Environmental, Social and
Governance aspects and meeting Siemens’ expectations towards our stakeholders.
We focused on sustainability assurance, performance and value. We continuously
enhance our proven “prevent-detect-respond” approach and manage the
decarbonization of our supply chain. We work together as a team with a broad
network of internal and external partners.
For our SCM team, we are looking for a Senior Sustainability Consultant to
help us drive SCM sustainability within Siemens and beyond. We are a highly
motivated team and are excited to get to know you.
You'll make an impact by
* Lead and implement supplier decarbonization programs to drive the progress
of supply chain decarbonization.
* Orchestrate green material/sustainable solution development in China by
working closely with different categories and businesses.
* Conduct benchmarking with industry leaders and engage with suppliers and
employees to promote green innovations and sustainable procurement activities.
* Work closely with headquarters and regional teams to ensure the successful
implementation of global programs at the local level.
* Support SCM Sustainability lead in integrating sustainable procurement
requirements into SCM programs/methods/processes with respective stakeholders
and owners.
Your defining qualities
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related
field.
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in areas such as
energy management, EHS, consulting, or project management in the field of
sustainability.
* Sound knowledge and/or experience in GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, CO2e emission
calculation and reduction.
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in organizational, interpersonal,
and project management skills.
* Deep passion for sustainability and a strong commitment to driving positive
environmental change.
* Familiarity with Chinese legislations and understanding of international
legislations.
* Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
